In September 2025, we travelled to Bogotá, Colombia, to meet our suppliers and inspect the cow hides ourselves. We checked the quality, dryness and moisture before buying. The container arrives in Lagos
Bogotá to Apapa Port
After the long journey from Colombia, our container finally arrived at Apapa Port in Lagos. Clearing was not easy. We faced some delays and challenges, but we stayed on it until the container was cleared. During the wait, we kept our customers updated because many of them were already waiting for their orders. We made a promise to deliver, and we were determined to keep it.

From Apapa to Ijebu Igbo
Our first container reaches the warehouse
After clearing, we moved the container from Lagos to our warehouse in Ijebu Igbo.

We unloaded the hides and divided them into smaller bundles for our first customers.
These customers trusted a new cow hide supplier with their money and business. Some could buy large quantities, while others needed smaller bundles.
We wanted Hydevest to work for both.
Then the feedback started coming
Our early customers were happy with the quality, pricing and service. One of them was Mr. Wasiu, who had been in the hide business for over eight years.
